Hello, wonderful lovelies!
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen a recent reel in which I announced that I’m currently pregnant and expecting to meet my new little one toward the end of 2024’s second quarter! As exciting as that news is, it also explained why I’ve been largely absent from social media since the launch of That Afro Drip Tarot.
Making a new life takes an enormous toll on the body and even though this isn’t my first rodeo, I wasn’t prepared for how much I would be affected. Everyone says the first trimester can be brutal and that is no lie!
However, now that I’ve regained (most of) my energy, I feel able to get back into the swing of things. While I was off the internet, I got a lot of inquiries about whether or not there will be a second print run of the deck for those who couldn’t snag a copy with this one. The truth is, I’m not certain. I want to keep the deck available, but I need to adjust to the new baby before I can plan for another launch.
It also happened to be the case that the plugin I installed on the site to automatically close sales once the pre-order period was up didn’t do so for whatever reason, and there were people placing orders after the planned end of the pre-order window.
It only felt right for me to honor those orders and now that we’re in Black History Month, closing sales really didn’t feel like the right move. So, I decided to extend the pre-order period until February 29th, 2024.
That way, anyone who wanted to get a copy of That Afro Drip Tarot but was unable to during the original pre-order period will have another chance to do so and I can manually close sales once time is up.
None of the decks purchased have been ordered yet, so if you were able to make a purchase during the original window, don’t fret. You will still get your copy once shipping begins. Originally, shipping was set to commence in late January. But with the pre-order extension, it’s now set to begin in mid to late March.
I sincerely apologize to anyone who is disappointed with the new time frame. Hopefully you will be willing to give me some grace as a first time indie deck creator/publisher.
I promise to stay in communication with you all during the coming weeks and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact me, either through instagram or email at WhatNiquasInto@gmail.com. Just put “TADT Question” or something similar in the subject line and I’ll be sure to get back to you as soon as possible.
In the meantime, let all your mystical, magical, tarot-loving friends know they can still get a copy of That Afro Drip! Thank you all so much for every bit of love and support you’ve given me so far. Words can’t express how much I appreciate it. ♥️
Talk soon!
